Dear Members,

It is my honour to announce that the Board of Directors has approved the appointments that the Deputy President and I have submitted to them for the positions of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). I would therefore like to to congratulate the following applicants on being appointed to these positions:

COO: Ahmed Sakr

Deputy COO: Ahmed Osman

CFO: Weldon Siele

Deputy CFO: Patrick Githongo

Honestly, we were deeply impressed by the calibre of the applicants who have applied. As a result, we had to invest a substantive amount of time conducting and debriefing multiple rounds of interviews.

The decisions were not easy, but I believe with these appointments we have managed to bring in new blood, with extensive and impressive professional experience outside the organisation, as well as retaining members who have track records inside KA, understanding the internal dynamics and challenges facing the organisation.

We will now schedule a workshop with these new officers to finalise the structure and positions for the rest of the Executive Management. We hope to announce the opening of applications for these positions by early next week.
